Cosey Fanni Tutti

English musician and performance artist Cosey Fanni Tutti is a pioneer of industrial music. She co-founded avant-garde noise outfit Throbbing Gristle, which grew out of the performance art collective COUM Transmissions. With these groups and in her own performances, Tutti included graphic sexual content, and invited discussion about the sex industry. After TG broke up in 1981, Tutti and bandmate Chris Carter started making synth pop and dance music as Chris & Cosey. Tutti occasionally released solo material and collaborations. Chris & Cosey became known as Carter Tutti in 2004, and both re-joined Throbbing Gristle during their reunion. She also formed techno group Carter Tutti Void with Carter and Nik Colk Void. She continued issuing post-industrial solo work such as 2025's 2t2.
