About Rebecca Mardal
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Getting Green Day's "Bullet in a Bible" - DVD for Christmas made me realize I wanted to do music when I grew up. I spent my first years learning punk and pop punk songs on guitar. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aretha Franklin, The Essential Aretha Franklin Green Day, American Idiot John Mayer, Where the Light Is: John Mayer Live In Los Angeles American Idiot is partly the reason why I picked up the guitar. Where the Light is and Aretha Franklin is partly reason why I started exploring the guitar as more than a punk rock tool. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “01:47 Am” Just guitar, what else do you need? Wrote this in the middle of the night, and it's perhaps more of a jam than anything. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I started releasing my own music after not having a place to live but out of my car, and a small couch in the music studio I rented part time. That experience changed my life, as it sort of made me release my own music! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I just want to grow 'til I die. That's the beauty with music; you're never done. There's always more to be inspired by, and more to learn.
