Glueleg

About Glueleg

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is hearing Alfredo Zitarrosa in Uruguay and feeling how much weight a voice and guitar could carry. Classical guitar training later turned that feeling into discipline. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? King Crimson, Discipline (Expanded Edition) Primus, Frizzle Fry (Remastered) (Remastered) Rush, Moving Pictures (Remastered) Remastered These records rewired how I understood rhythm, tension, and musicianship. Primus made the strange feel physical, King Crimson made complexity feel architectural, and Rush made precision feel emotional. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Heroic Doses” I chose “Heroic Doses” because it captures Glueleg at our most committed: heavy, angular, and fully alive. It still feels like a statement of intent: physical, restless, irreverent. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Our first national tour in 1995 was unforgettable, culminating in a sold-out show at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. That was the moment Glueleg felt bigger than the city we came from. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? At this point, the bucket list feels complete. Our 2023 double vinyl Horror Vacui and A Colossus with Clay Feet EP became our final, uncompromised statement.
