About Bankrol Hayden

After surviving a car crash, rising rapper Bankrol Hayden used music to cope with his PTSD. He bounced back with the 2018 viral single “29.” • Hayden first started rapping in eighth grade. Just three years later, in 2017, he scored his first popular song, “Ride With You,” a freestyle to the beat from OutKast’s “Ms. Jackson.” • On November 29, 2017, Hayden was involved in a car crash that left two people dead. He broke his back and ribs, damaged his small intestine, and was placed on life support for six days. • A traumatized Hayden turned to music and recorded “29” the following year. The autobiographical cut went viral, thrusting him into the public eye. • In 2019, Hayden teamed with singer Luh Kel for “Brothers” and followed it up the next year with the monster streaming hit “Costa Rica.” Between the two songs, Hayden earned over 200 million streams across platforms. • After signing to Atlantic Records, Hayden released his 2020 debut album, Pain is Temporary, featuring Lil Baby, Polo G, and The Kid LAROI.
