Catalin Serban

Pianist Cătălin Șerban specializes in Romantic and Post-Romantic music, often juxtaposing works in unusual ways. In addition to playing solo, he is active as a chamber musician and as an educator. Șerban released his first album, Des cloches sonores, in 2018. Șerban has performed as a soloist or recitalist at major venues. Șerban is the founder of the Spielende Insel ("Performing Island") festival held on the German island of Rügen in the Baltic Sea; the festival pairs experienced musicians with up-and-comers. Șerban issued the album Resemblances in 2022 and the chamber album Mélodies Infinies: Fauré, Enescu in 2024.
