In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Discovering I could make up my own music during childhood piano lessons was huge for me. Instead of reading the notes, I’d drift off and create my own melodies. Seeing The Rolling Stones at age eight also lit a spark that never went out. Jimmy McGriff, I've Got A Woman Miles Davis, Kind of Blue Steely Dan, Aja Remastered Aja, a masterclass in songwriting and production. Every track feels perfectly crafted and still inspires me today. Kind of Blue, a timeless jazz classic. Deep, spacious and beautifully simple — it reveals something new every time I listen. It’s a simple, feel-good soul-jazz tune, and seeing it resonate so widely makes it really special to me. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing a one-hour deep-funk set in the middle of a club dance floor — surrounded by dancers — was unforgettable. The energy in the room was electric and completely unique. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Tour the world playing music, collaborate with more of my heroes, and keep creating. Staying on this path — making music that connects — is still the dream.
