About Heavy Lungs
Driven by ear-splitting guitars, frenetic rhythms, and a caustic lyrical wit, Heavy Lungs have made good on a wave of late-2010s hype that was a result of a flurry of EPs -- most notably 2019’s Measure, featuring the bouncy “(A Bit of A) Birthday” -- and a chance immortalization of sorts in a song by their close friends in the post-punk band IDLES. They’ve since branched out with the long-players All Gas No Brakes (2023) and Caviar (2025).
