Grupo Selectivo

Grupo Selectivo is a Mexican regional band from Culiacán, Sinaloa. Formed around 2017, like most of its contemporaries the group sought to renovate the genre by fusing traditional styles such as corridos and banda with urban sounds. Contrary to current trends (i.e. corridos tumbados, bélicos, and narcocorridos), it also chose to embrace a sunny, life-affirming attitude, self-labeling its music as "corridos good vibe". The band made its debut in 2018 with Tal Parece, and kept polishing its formula over successive albums – about a dozen live and studio releases between 2018 and 2025 – and almost 200 singles. Hopecore, Grupo Selectivo's seventh studio album, appeared in early 2026.
