In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first memory of making music is from when I began studying the conga drum at the Harlem School of the Arts. Every Sunday - starting at about 5 or 6 years old - my mom would bring me there. I believe that's where I cultivated my sense of rhythm. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dissociate (... To Within)” I picked this song for its last verse. In music, everyone purports to support "community," but this song describes the intense loneliness I've felt most of my life. That last verse shows me at my most vulnerable. If nothing else, at least I did that.
