Canada's Leith Ross is a singer/songwriter of soft-spoken, self-conscious songs that often look at love from the position of the outsider. Ross issued their eight-song debut, Motherwell, in 2020. Two years later, they went viral with "We'll Never Have Sex," an earnest acoustic song about platonic love that struck a chord on social media, garnering millions of listens. Record deals with Interscope and Republic Records soon followed, and the song appeared on Ross' official debut LP, 2023's Juno-nominated To Learn. They leaned into earthy folk for the single "Grieving," a preview of their 2025 sophomore album.
