About Jihad Darwish

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I spent hours sitting in my room learning bass lines by ear from my favourite records. Rewinding songs over and over taught me to listen deeply, and that curiosity still shapes the way I write and arrange music today. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Peter Gabriel, So (Special Edition) Radiohead, In Rainbows Talk Talk, Spirit of Eden So showed me adventurous production and timeless songwriting.Spirit of Eden taught me that space and restraint can be as powerful as complexity. In Rainbows still inspires me with its warmth, intimacy and effortless experimentation. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Arps Arps Arps” Arps grew from a fascination with repetition and subtle change. I love how small shifts in harmony and texture can completely transform the emotional landscape of a piece. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I've always made music without knowing who, if anyone, would hear it. Discovering that people across the world have found a connection with those recordings has been quietly extraordinary. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I don't really have a bucket list in the traditional sense. I just want to keep exploring, learning and making music that surprises me.
