In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I learnt to play music in the back of a pub at home, my lessons where only three quid and you'd normally be playing next to the glass washer in the backroom or the washing machine as it went off. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jeff Buckley, Grace Terry Callier, The New Folk Sound of Terry Callier (Deluxe Edition) The Cranberries, No Need To Argue (2025 Remastered) I love interesting voices. These three singers are ones that captured me from the first word I heard. I am constantly discovering old music, or the music of people that have passed away. Tell us why you chose this song. “Jailbird” I wrote this after one of the more unusual jobs I've had, teaching a choir in mens prisons in South London. I wanted to shed light on a group hidden from society, share their stories and think about how I feel about our current justice system.
