A talented artist in her own right, scoring a string of adult contemporary radio hits, Beth Nielsen Chapman rose to prominence as a successful songwriter, penning songs that would earn their performers accolades on both pop and country radio. Emerging in the early 1980s, Chapman found mainstream success with the release of her eponymous 1990 sophomore album. Her quiet dominance on the country and adult contemporary pop charts continued unabated with hits for Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, and Tanya Tucker, as well as acclaimed solo efforts like Sand and Water (1997), Hymns (2004), Back to Love (2010), and Crazy Town (2022)
