Presenting himself as a deliberately tacky East German caricature, rapper Finch garnered attention for his garish mix of tough rap, pop and schlager choruses, techno beats and low-brow humor. Finch launched an online channel in 2014 under the name Finch Asozial, releasing songs such as "Richtig saufen" and "Ostdeutscher Hasselhoff." Finch's debut album Dorfdisko arrived in 2019, promptly reaching number two on the German charts. The follow-up, Finchi's Love Tape (2020), seamlessly continued the trashy concept. The rapper then shortened his name to Finch and landed at the top of the charts with his next releases, Rummelbums (2022) and Dorfdisko zwei (2023). His fifth album, Schluss mit lustig (2025), another number one hit, showcased the rapper's more personal side along with his gaudy songs.
