About Sadiki

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory goes back to writing my first song at 12 years old. I'd never loved a girl and I was writing about not being able to stop loving a girl. It was completely natural. Music found me before I even understood what was happening. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Buju Banton, 'Til Shiloh (Expanded) Michael Jackson, Thriller Sizzla, Black Woman and Child I think each of these albums were "turn of the century" works. They single-handedly changed the course of music within their respective genres. These albums have no fillers whatsoever!!! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “I Believe” For me, this is an evergreen tune. It’s my take on an Elvis Presley gospel classic. I kept the production simple so the message and emotion could breathe without getting lost in overproduction. It centers me - I go back to it when I need to grounds. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? On tour with Beres Hammond in Guyana, I sang my song “Gal Dem Everytime” (Buyout Riddim), and the whole place lifted. I was shocked. I didn’t know the song was that big. I was making $150 a show. After that reaction, I definitely felt due for a raise Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I haven’t done a world tour yet. I’d love to meet my fans in person and feel the vibe and energy in every city.
