Dutty Moonshine Big Band

Oxford, U.K.-based collective Dutty Moonshine Big Band blend U.K. bass and jazz with additional grime and hip-hop MCs on vocals. Leader Michael Rack, aka Dutty Moonshine gathered a 14-piece band in 2010. They became staples on the U.K. festival circuit, with their quirky sound and upbeat style ideal for large-scale music events. Although content with being a live band, they eventually put together a full-length album, Most Wanted, in 2017. For their second record, 2020's City of Sin, they doubled down on the smoky jazz and old-time music that made them so distinctive. ~ Liam Martin
