Sunrot

New Jersey's Sunrot combines doom, sludge, and drone metal to deliver moribund slabs of sonic misery and brutality that touch on every aspect of human suffering. They brought their cathartic, socio-political brand of heavy music to the masses with the release of their debut long-player, Sunnata, in 2017. The band kept the turgid momentum going in 2023 with the release of their uncompromising Prosthetic Records debut, The Unfailing Rope. The discordant EP Passages, featuring material recorded during the Unfailing Rope sessions, arrived in 2025.
