About Faultline
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Age 16 I worked an entire summer at a supermarket deli counter to pay for my first synthesiser, a Sequential Circuits Pro One monosynth (that I still use today). The upside was unlimited cold cuts - if you said you were testing them for freshness. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Foxx, Metamatic Kraftwerk, The Man-Machine (Remastered) Talk Talk, Spirit of Eden I mean, if we're talking music which is embedded deep in every single strand of my DNA, then these three albums are all up there. Discovered early, and obsessed over through hundreds of repeated headphone listens, in the age long before streaming... Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Exhibition of Rejects” The first new, original Faultline music released in twenty years, this is a ten-minute-long sound of not attempting to fit in. Just a desire to make music in the most authentic, instinctive way I can. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Maybe the tape of my very first single 'Awake' being rejected by Abbey Road's mastering team for 'multiple faults' (it was supposed to sound like that). Or recording Chris Martin and Michael Stipe singing on my 'Your Love Means Everything' album.
