Fuerza Regida

Mexican superstars Fuerza Regida brought the gritty realities of California street life to the tradition of corrido. Led by vocalist Jesús Ortiz Paz (aka JOP) the band—formed in San Bernardino, California, in 2015—created a raw sound that resonated with a younger, bicultural generation. Their 2018 live album En Vivo Puros Corridos and its breakout track “Radicamos en South Central” put them on the map, capturing the hustle of Mexican American youth. As the regional Mexican genre exploded globally, Fuerza Regida evolved right alongside it. They seamlessly blended elements of hip-hop and trap into their aesthetic, proving their staying power with studio efforts like 2019’s Del Barrio Hasta Aquí. Albums like 2022’s Pa Que Hablen and 2023’s Pa Las Baby’s y Belikeada showcase their ability to craft massive crossover hits while maintaining their authentic edge. They have continued to push the boundaries of the genre with 2024’s PERO NO TE ENAMORES, which infused electronic and club beats into their signature sound, and 2025’s 111XPANTIA, cementing their status as restless innovators. By fusing traditional instrumentation with modern swagger, Fuerza Regida both preserves Mexican musical traditions and rewrites them for a new era.
