In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memories is being in my crib listening to vinyl singles with a red device called ¨comediscos¨ (disc eater). Then listening to flamenco and copla albums that my mom played. FFwd to the 80s and the advent of MTV shaped me 4ever! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Miles Davis, Decoy (2022 Remaster) Paco de Lucía, Sólo Quiero Caminar The Beatles, Abbey Road (Remastered) These are three albums that have shaped me as a musician. A.Rd = Originality and mastery of song crafting + insane soulfulness. Decoy = Changed my life and made me want to be a jazz musician. Paco = The essence of my Spanish identity. A 17 minute story that takes you to places you don't imagine. That's what music is about. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing at Carnegie Hall with Anjelique Kidjo, and having Youssou N'Dour, Diane Reeves and Omara Portuondo as guests. Being featured on an NPR "jazz night in America" special. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Expanding my catalog to Dolby Atmos - Spatial Audio. Never stop creating interesting music.
