Finding profound influence in their native Miami, longtime friends Luca Medici and Delbert Perez have made electronic music as INVT since 2017, a creative outlet that encompasses sound as well as visuals (mostly through their own photography as well as vintage apparel treated and repurposed by the duo by hand using various sustainable processes). Their style combines insistent but pleasant rhythms inspired by techno, house, and garage styles with flashes of inspiration from Latin roots, a constant throughout the city's musical and cultural history. Medici and Perez's attempts to stave off the unease of the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a burst of creativity and debut full-length DURO. Their output skyrocketed over the next two years: three full-lengths in 2021 (MIRADA, MEDIA NOCHE and PRENDIDA) and a staggering five in 2022 (PLAZA, DOBLE CARGA, RITMO CALIENTE, LA CHAMBA and GAZEBO). The duo returned in 2026 with the alluring 8 AM Swim.
