About Portrayal of Guilt
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Over the last decade, Portrayal of Guilt have solidified themselves as a pillar in the extreme underground music scene. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ecstasy” The band takes unhinged discordance to the next level on standouts “Ecstasy” and “Human Terror”, with Korn-like guitar dissonance, punishing death metal lows, and haunting spoken passages confidently riding the line between Life is Peachy and Scum. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? With relentlessly consistent releases like 2023’s orchestral nightmare Devil Music, and year-round world touring with the likes of Deafheaven, Uniform and Pg. 99, P.O.G. have unquestionably carved their own path. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Defying accurate categorization since formation, the band blends elements of black, death and nu-metal with crust, screamo, powerviolence and hardcore, with their forthcoming LP '...Beginning of The End' continuing to further obscure genre lines.
