About royb0t
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In high school, a friend and I discovered audio software then promptly twisted a nerf gun into crunchy noises. While I've honed in the craft of songwriting and production further, there's still always some aspect to heavily transformation sound. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Atari Teenage Riot, 60 Second Wipe Out Autechre, EP7 Nine Inch Nails, The Downward Spiral Explicit Version Nine Inch Nails was my first music awakening with it's industrial architecture and emotional outpour. Atari Teenage Riot pushed the boundaries of organized noise, while Autechre sounds wholly alien. All are definitely sources of ongoing inspiration. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Black Burst Generator” A sonic roller-coaster of fractured breaks and irregular rhythms surrounded by ominous tension. It's the answer to a parallel universe's question of "what if" Alec Empire and Charlie Clouser wrote Autechre's Gantz Graf. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Co-founding Thinkbreak Records with friends _the boundless_, Nevada Hardware, Digital Gnosis and growing the label. Collaborating with Professor Kliq (KBR). Interviewing Rob Sheridan for Glitch Artist Collective. A/V performances with suture.blue. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Plenty! I will continue to interweave song mixes and elements across releases like narrative breadcrumbs; expand the "Black Burst Generator" universe with a companion downtempo IDM album; revive Noisebear for more breakcore in 2025, and more!
