About Souly Had

Initially an aspiring hip-hop producer, Souly Had developed his singing and rapping skills and earned himself a major label deal. • Souly Had is the alias of Harrison McQueeny, a native of Duanesburg, New York. He started playing guitar when he was 10 and began making hip-hop beats at 15. • As a SUNY Schenectady County Community College student, he began posting covers of songs, including Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie.” • Souly cofounded the Upstate New York rap group Entreband. The collective launched a label that released some of Souly's early music, including his breakthrough single “All the Time,” a showcase for Had’s singing. • In 2019, while living in Albany, Souly inked a deal with Island Records. The label released the EP B.L.I.S.S. (meaning “Because Love Is So Special”) that year. The self-produced single “Crush” became a streaming hit. • At the close of 2020, Souly collaborated with Long Island musician and producer Mac Ayres on the dreamy and melodic “Maybe Not.” The song became a favorite on TikTok.
