Hannah Wicklund's heavy-duty riffs, inspired by a half-century of guitar greats, reframes a bygone era of hard rock through a feminine lens - picture Stevie Nicks or Christine McVie shredding a Stratocaster, or if the Wilson sisters had earmarked their Lovemongers material for Heart's discography. Her unapologetic throwback sound, honed since her pre-teen years, started to come in fuller bloom on 2018’s Hannah Wicklund and The Steppin Stones, featuring the viral “Bomb Through the Breeze”; she’s since begun gathering more material under her name alone, collaborating with members of another classic rock revival act, Greta Van Fleet.
