Laxcity

Joshua Mbewe, better known as Laxcity, makes expressive, intricately detailed electronic music which spans a wide range of styles. Filled with crisp drums, mysterious voices, and imaginative sound design, the songs on downtempo early releases such as 2018's Catharsis are healing and comforting while reflecting a wide range of turbulent emotions. His music has increased in tempo and energy over the years as he's made more live appearances, with 2023's kinder opposites and 2025's at last reflecting various club music influences.
