About Pardeep Sran
Pardeep Sran’s powerful pipes are familiar to Hindi film music fans, who have heard him infuse a Punjabi flavour to punchy hits such as “Cutiepie” from Pritam’s soundtrack for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016) and “Tattoo Waaliye” from Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy’s OST for Bunty Aur Babli 2 (2021). Pritam, with whom Sran has collaborated on smashes such as “Parinda” from Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017) and “Sadda Move” from Raabta (2017), even roped in Sran to belt out “Biba” (2019), his collaboration with the American electronic music producer Marshmello. Bathinda-born Sran, who describes his sound as “folk to fusion”, traverses diverse sonic terrain thanks to his musical grounding. He began training in Indian classical and folk at the age of five and learned instruments such as the harmonium and tumbi as a child. Sran got his first taste of the limelight in 2011 when he participated in and won the second season of the reality TV singing competition series Voice of Punjab. While he’s been consistently releasing music outside of films since 2019, Sran hit his stride in the Punjabi pop scene in 2025, tallying millions streams for tunes such as “3,13”, “Killa”, “College” and the title track of his EP 36. His debut album Hostel, which he put out in early 2026, reached the top three of Apple Music’s all-genre Top Albums chart in India.
