Cassie Kinoshi

Cassie Kinoshi is a composer, arranger, and alto saxophonist based in London. She leads the SEED Ensemble (aka seed.) and is a former member and arranger of Afrobeat band Kokoroko and jazz septet Nerija. Her multidisciplinary creative vision makes her an in-demand composer for film, dance, theater, video, art installations, and more. She released Driftglass in 2018 with seed. and was nominated for a Mercury Prize. In 2021, seed. recorded her score for the dance group BalletBoyz, BalletBoyz: Bradley 4:18, and released it on her Beatprint label. With seed., members of the London Contemporary Orchestra, and turntablist NikNak, she premiered her six-movement suite Gratitude at the Southbank Centre in 2023. Combined with later studio recordings and an older live composition, Gratitude was released in March 2024 by Cassie Kinoshi's seed.
