In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up in a musical home, inspired by my father's LPs and cassettes. I dreamed of performing the songs I loved, started collecting my own cassettes in 1997, and played my first gig at a wedding in 2001. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? DJ Fresh (SA), House Afrika: Fresh House Flava, Vol. 1 (DJ Mix) DrummeRTee924, Nkanyezi Kubheka, BASS & DRUMS The O'Jays, The Essential O'Jays Buying Fresh House Flava Vol. 1 sparked my love for house music. The O'Jays take me back to my childhood, when I performed their songs at home. Today, my second album, Bass & Drums, is topping the charts. KDD & Sylvester)” Journey is one of my favorite songs I've created. Its story and lyrics inspire me every day to keep pushing forward and aim higher. I also co-produced and directed the music video, making it an even more personal project. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2020, I was crowned the Budweiser King of the Decks, earning the chance to perform on Ultra South Africa's main stage alongside Afrojack, Steve Aoki, DJ Snake, and Dash Berlin, one of the biggest moments of my career. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My goal is to create music that people around the world can enjoy, travel through my art, and keep doing what I love most, making music that connects, inspires, and brings people together.
