umru

New York-based producer umru makes experimental pop music filled with blown-out effects and surreal arrangements. Early in his career, he produced songs for Charli xcx, and he released his debut EP, Search Result, on PC Music in 2018. Following work with artists like Dorian Electra, Banoffee, and Tommy Cash, his second EP, Comfort Noise, appeared in 2022, with guests including Rebecca Black, Hannah Diamond, and Cecile Believe. The 2025 EP Matter of Time featured dance producers Jacques Greene and Nikki Nair, and umru additionally collaborated with Underscores on the song "Poplife."
