Scott Hardware

Under the alias Scott Hardware, Toronto-based experimental songwriter Scott Harwood makes dreamy, melancholic sounds rooted in both celebratory dance music and cinematic pop. His albums have often reflected deep cultural fixations -- 2020's Engel was inspired by Wim Wenders' darkly beautiful 1987 film Wings of Desire. His 2022 album Ballad of a Tryhard experienced a significant overhaul in style, moving from free-floating songcraft to more fully realized arrangements.
