Hammok

A hardcore band with an unusual attack, Hammok make music that's furious and explosive, while incorporating unique sonic elements beyond the usual pummeling guitars and drums. Folding hyperpop influences in with the ferocity of metal and punk, Hammok first started writing and recording during the COVID-19 lockdown of 2020, with studio experimentalism baked into their sound. They showed off a lean, straightforward attack on early singles like 2021's "Resume" and "Labels," but the 2022 EP Jumping/Dancing/Fighting saw them experimenting with distortion and electronics along with chaotic guitar work, and 2024's Look How Long Lasting Everything is Moving Forward for Once and 2026's When Does This Place Become Our Scene saw them boldly pushing their aural assault to the limits.
