Diamond Construct

If subgenres of rock never ebbed and flowed with the times, more bands might sound like Australia's Diamond Construct, who mix the guitar thrash of heavy metal with the screamed catharsis of hardcore and warbling synth patches and drops that recall the peaks of nu metal and EDM. Active since a series of independent self-releases in the mid-2010s, the group came into their own with 2019's self-titled debut and a series of early-2020s singles including "Psychosis" and "Hit It Back."
