About Toby Fox

Toby Fox is an American composer and video game developer who found fame with the 2015 title Undertale. ∙ A self-taught artist, he began composing while still in high school, writing music for the web comic Homestuck. ∙ Released in 2015, Undertale garnered widespread critical acclaim and made Fox—who independently produced the game and its ’80s-inspired soundtrack—a star in gaming circles. ∙ After Undertale, he was tapped to compose music for numerous games, including Hiveswap, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Pokémon Sword and Shield. ∙ In 2018, Fox announced the forthcoming release of a new game, Deltarune, and shared its first chapter—along with the corresponding new music he’d written—online.
