In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Starting when I was 3 years old, my parents would set me up in front of a cassette player to record the continuous stream of my invented songs and melodies. Listening to them now confirms what I've always known: this music has always been inside me! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bonnie Raitt, Bonnie Raitt (Remastered) Jackson Browne, Late For the Sky Taj Mahal, The Natch'l Blues My favorite era of music will always be the 1970s, and for me, these three records are timeless classics that will never go out of style. From the performances to the production to the musicianship, these albums are soulful and authentic - my fave. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In December 2022, I performed on the syndicated NPR Music program Mountain Stage as part of their 39th anniversary show. The show will air on over 280 NPR stations across the USA. It was a thrill for me and Freebo to be part of this iconic show! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm so excited for the release of my new album, Circumstance, in April 2023! I recorded it at legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals with my producer Freebo and an amazing band. This record is a huge milestone for me and I can't wait to share it.
