Country singer Wheeler Walker Jr. is the alter ego of actor, comedian, and writer Ben Hoffman, who pairs deliberately offensive lyrics with genuine musical chops. ∙ Hoffman got his start in TV, writing for and appearing on Comedy Central’s Sports Show With Norm Macdonald before starring in his own sketch series, The Ben Show, in 2013. ∙ Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb helmed his debut, Redneck Shit, which Rolling Stone named one of the 35 Most Anticipated Country Albums of 2016. ∙ The 2018 release WW III became his third in a row to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Comedy Albums chart, and it was his third Top 20 entry on the Top Country Albums list. ∙ He hails from a musical family—his brother Scott, who goes by the stage name Babydaddy, is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist for the glam rock outfit Scissor Sisters.
