Atlanta rapper SahBabii set the Internet alight with his viral 2016 single “Pull Up wit ah Stick,” a song he initially considered a throwaway. • The Chicago native moved to Atlanta at age 13 and was inspired to rap by the city’s wealth of young breakout stars. But his first two mixtapes, Pimpin Ain't Eazy and Glocks & Thots, failed to make much of an impression. • After having his confidence shaken, he finally broke through “Pull Up wit ah Stick,” off his 2016 mixtape S.A.N.D.A.S.. The track went viral on Instagram, racked up tens of millions of streams, and spawned remixes from T-Pain, Fetty Wap, Wiz Khalifa, and Young Thug. • SahBabii signed with Warner Bros. but parted company with the label before releasing the 2018 project Squidtastic. • Following a brief retirement scare, SahBabii returned with Barnacles in 2020.
