The DJ and producer known as horsegiirL emerged in 2022 with the backstory to end all backstories: The world’s first (to our knowledge) half-human, half-horse DJ, she was born on Sunshine Farms and discovered at a harvest fest by Whitney Horseton. The Berlin-based musician, who is never seen without her uncannily realistic horse mask, released her debut album NATURE IS HEALING in June 2026—a cheeky, earthy blend of trance, hyperpop, and downtempo, with odes to the joys of mushrooms and the benefits of eating an apple a day. She follows that with HARDCORE HEALING, a companion-piece EP that brings the album’s transcendentalist themes further onto the dance floor. Rooted in happy hardcore and Y2K rave culture, highlights include the Eurodance-inspired “key2luv” and the Dylan Brady collaboration “c*ntry girl rock,” a playfully unhinged anthem for your next barn rave.
