Though he’s been putting out music for a few years now, El Rabbanito finally saw considerable payoff with the momentum-accelerating success of his 2026 singles “Dandy Hats” and “La Fórmula.” Named after that latter hit, his latest album for DEL Records builds off of those two songs as the opening pair for a features-laden affair. Composed of a dozen tracks, this well-timed release expands upon the emboldened attitudes and luxe signifiers of his charting breakthroughs via likeminded cuts like “King Cab” and “Tequila y Lavada.” Beyond the strength of the record’s solo moments, notable features by the likes of Clemente y Su Elexion Privada and Kane Rodriguez on half of these songs further convey his increased prominence as a power player in música mexicana. Adrenaline and anxiety drive the narrative dilemmas of “Repetimos” with Armenta, while “Cheers” brings Tijuana native Codiciado into the fold for one of the genre’s finest duets.
