After dropping two albums in a row in 2024, Nijjar released just three tracks in 2025—an unusual move for an artist who had previously been so prolific. It turns out the US-based Punjabi hip-hop and pop artist was reconfiguring his sound, as hinted in his last single, “Thinking”. Autobiography is his first full gangster rap LP. Every song is a swagger-packed declaration of territorial dominance and a celebration of community pride. He delivers these bangers with effortless confidence, eschewing ballads for uptempo identity anthems that only occasionally veer into romantic territory.
