Jana Nayagan (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

In May 2026, politician and actor Thalapathy Vijay was sworn in as chief minister of Tamil Nadu. In July, high-stakes political actioner Jana Nayagan—starring Vijay—hit cinemas, adding poignancy and punch to the movie. And its sprawling, powerful music by Anirudh Ravichander fittingly reflects this fiction-meets-reality moment. “Thalapathy Kacheri” is a folky banger, “Chella Magale” (sung by Vijay) is a breezy ballad, “Ulla Olicha Uyire” (crooned by Ravichander) soars with melody and soul and “The True Leader”, with rap by Amogh Balaji, is a grandiose belter that gives the movie bags of swagger.
