The hyperpop disciples drop another energetic ode to genreless music. Frost Children are true children of the internet, operating in the free-form ecosystem that has arrived in the wake of limitless access to music. Indie kids love pop radio, rap heads are into punk. Frost Children exemplify this spirit as well as anyone, with the duo (siblings Angel and Lulu Prost), breaking through the hyperpop barrier into something even more expansive on their 2026 EP Tweaker Poem. “Creep” takes a vocal chop and loops it in the style of classic house cuts, before the siblings come through with a vocal performance that recalls the heyday of 2000s emo. The build and subsequent release interpolate festival-ready EDM, and all of this unfolds within the song’s first minute. Throughout Tweaker Poem, Frost Children seemingly ask themselves, “How many ideas can we fit into each song?” The answer, it turns out, is never enough. Our Favorite Moment: The piano interlude that brings a cathartic peace to “Gutted.”
