A six-track mini album that sees the K-pop group embrace hip-hop. In their first few years as a K-pop boy group, RIIZE became known for bright pop songs exploring relatable feelings of youth. With a self-described “emotional pop” sound, members Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Sohee, and Anton connected with listeners on tracks like 2023’s retro-funk pop debut single “Get a Guitar” and 2024’s dreamy dance-pop song “Love 119.” While 2026’s II - The 2nd Mini Album continues to explore the melodic pop that defined RIIZE’s first few years in tracks like “SOAR” and “In a Loop,” the six-track EP also sees the group embracing the hip-hop edge experimented with in 2025’s “Bag Bad Back.” Lead single “Do your dance” eschews the smooth structure of RIIZE’s pop hits for a different kind of groove. Drawing from the simplicity of the nursery rhyme “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes,” the six-member squad instructs listeners to “touch your head, hips, shoulders, toes” over a distorted 808 bassline. The song is broadly designed to get people moving, but keeps RIIZE’s focus on the youthful perspective of its twentysomething members: “Scratch it, but no scars on my youth/Burning like a phoenix, fireproof.”
