With 12 tracks averaging just over two minutes each, WHACK’S MUSEUM is, above all, a fun listen, packed with ideas, attitude, and wordplay that feels clever but never overworked, joyous and goofy in some places (“SIREN”), swaggering in others (“WAX PAPER”), but mostly just bittersweet with enough of a sense of humor to make it all okay—beautiful, even (“QUEENS CROWN,” “TWO FIFTEEN”).
