Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is the kind of romantic comedy of errors Bollywood rarely makes now. So maybe that’s why its makers mined classic hits to create its high-energy soundtrack. “Roop Di Rani” modernises the Punjabi folk song “Kali Teri Gut”; “Dheeme Dheeme”, which was reworked for the film’s 2020 prequel, gets another update; and the closing four tunes are hits off smash OSTs from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. Perhaps naturally, it’s the new compositions—slinky synth-pop track “Dil Waale Chor”, which that also gets an acoustic version, and classically tinged electro-pop ditty “Angdayi”—that stand out.
