For their final record, The Shaky Hands touch on myriad influences to deliver a rollicking indie-rock farewell. “Never Fine” has a noisy, overdriven solo and honeyed harmonies that make it sound like an adrenaline-injected Beatles tune, and “Already Gone” continues the ‘60s British Invasion pop theme, bouncing with infectious piano backbone. “Caught In the Storm,” though, finds them in the realm of ragged heartland rock, while “Slip Away” turns them into a rowdy bar band, shaking the walls with old-school rock ‘n’ roll hooks.
