Recorded in or around a 12th-century stone barn in the English countryside, The Gathering at Badon Hill is a five-track EP featuring new acoustic versions of songs from MIRADOR’s 2025 self-titled debut. Led by Greta Van Fleet’s Jake Kiszka and Ida Mae’s Chris Turpin, the band delivers powerful stripped-down variations of “Fortune’s Fate,” “Must I Go Bound,” and “Ten Thousand More to Ride.” The single-take performances of “Ashes to Earth” and “Feels Like Gold” resound particularly well in the bucolic setting, invoking both the blues ghosts of the Mississippi Delta and the mythological rock majesty of Greta Van Fleet’s eternal reference point Led Zeppelin.
