Tell Me It's A Dream

Tell Me It's A Dream

As one half of Let’s Eat Grandma, Rosa Walton spent the late 2010s and early 2020s charting a path as one of the UK’s more off-kilter pop experimentalists, embracing high-wire vocal acrobatics and squiggly synths with a distinctly bold attitude. Her debut album under her own name arrives five years after Walton’s contribution to the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack, “I Really Want to Stay at Your House.” Whereas that song pulsed with synthy textures, Tell Me It’s a Dream finds Walton expanding her palette to include indie rock reveries (“July”) and anthemic pop (“Taking the Roof Down”). Back in the booth with Walton for these nine songs is trusted Let’s Eat Grandma collaborator David Wrench, who’s also lent his talents to recent records from Blur and Bon Iver.
