After crashing the British pop charts with his 2025 debut artist album Same Day Cleaning, London DJ Sammy Virji keeps the party going with a four-track remix EP that pushes his UKG sound into thrilling new dimensions. The tech-house heater “925” gets a pair of makeovers: Four Tet’s raw, jacked-up revision chops down the original topline to a single lyric (“please don’t bring me flowers”) that’s looped to delirious extremes; Malugi’s mix counters the uptempo energy with plush piano-house melodies. The other tracks tap into Virji’s grime-ier side: The dancehall-infused “Dis Badman” gets dipped in dubby textures by BAKEY, while the Douvelle19 Summer Sessions remix of Virji’s first Top 40 single—the Skepta collab “Cops & Robbers”—is tricked out with twinkling organ tones that blur the line between the club and cocktail lounge.
