“This month’s mix opens with some deep electronica from Stereo Underground and includes two standout tracks from Rival Consoles: ‘Landscape from Memory’ and (later in the session) ‘Known Shape.’ This producer has built an incredible career, from soundtracking Black Mirror to playing to 10,000 people at London’s Drumsheds and even a solo show at the prestigious Barbican Hall. I really recommend diving into his full album and back catalog here on Apple Music—I’ve enjoyed exploring it recently,” John Digweed tells Apple Music as he introduces his September 2025 mix. As ever, Digweed has done some meticulous curation on this month’s mix full of goodies and rarities, old and new. “One to check out this time around is a remix of Sasha’s ‘Boileroom,’ originally from his iconic Airdrawndagger album,” he says. “This new version from Maher Daniel is the first remix since the track’s release in 2002 and brings fresh energy to a classic. The one big vocal moment this month comes courtesy of Guy J, who works his magic on a track from one of the UnClubbed compilations which featured acoustic covers of dance-floor anthems. This one was reworking of the classic ‘Need to Feel Loved’ from Reflekt—a real moment in the mix. “I also have to mention how special the Circulation remix of Cass’ ‘Gothamania’ is, out to mark the 400th release on Stripped Recordings. Cass, a true progressive house pioneer with more than 150 releases under his belt (including the legendary Cass & Slide partnership), returns with his first single in years—and this remix for sure will be a standout when it comes to looking back at 2025 when we hit December.” And Digweed keeps the quality high right to the end. “To close, I’ve brought back Sistema’s remix of Guy J’s ‘Esperanza’—a track originally featured on my Structures album that still feels fresh and worked perfectly when compiling this latest mix for you.”
